How to output a wav file in nero11 when ripping CDs?
« on: February 18, 2017, 01:50:06 PM »
Believe it or not I've never ripped before. Idiot.

What I'm trying to do is create a wav. file instead of a new folder when copying to my hard drive, so that I can easily put multiple shows on my fiio. Otherwise, the fiio is listing for example, three track fours in a row for three separate shows, if that makes sense.

Thanks!

'Not familiar w/Nero's tools but I use EAC to rip. Gold Standard 'round here.  I'm sure there are features in it that I don't use that would make tagging the ripped files easier...  I don't rip other people's discs so I don't know.

Paging superior minds!

Good Luck

Having no trouble ripping to my computer but each disc is creating a folder when ripped and copied. Ideally I would prefer a wav file instead so that I can transfer files to my fiio. The folders are fine for saving to the pc but the fiio is simply stacking track 1s for different discs
On tonight of each other. I know this is only a windows file issue not my strong point.

But you're using a Nero tool, correct? My suggestion is to use EAC which will make a batch of individual files, track_01, track_02, etc. I was looking at it and if you can somehow implement its connection to online CD data bases, you should be able to get the tune names.  I couldn't get it to work.  You'll have to name them by hand I guess.

Is it problematic that a folder is created for you to keep each disc rip sorted out?  Perhaps your aim is to rip to player, listen and delete... Then I guess I would see having the originals on the PC as "extra" stuff,  not as time savers if I ever wanted to reload my player.

Does the Fiio not offer some sort of organization mechanism like Artist, Album, Compilation?

I saw this thread after posting, perhaps  there's something in it for you.  Good Luck

Thanks Ben. I want to both archive and listen on my fiio. I am using Nero.

Accessing a database for track names?  Good on ya... I just got it figured out too.

Won't work on my show masters that I've burned but that figures.

A few screen shots w/notes to nudge you along.

These reflect what you see after you open the app, drop a CD in the drive and it reads the disc.
