FiiO X3 - quick question
« on: July 25, 2017, 11:28:16 AM »
Hi all,

I read the manual for this and came away with the impression that it is possible to connect this to an external hard drive.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I did a search here but didn't see anything.

There is a sale on these at Canada Computers for C$199. Thinking of grabbing one given the positive comments on this player in the various threads.

Thanks,

John

I have the X5 2nd gen and with the external hard drive and X5 both plugged into the computer, it's just grab and drag it in.  I was grabbing like 10 shows at a time and dragging them in.  It took a while but put 135 shows on it over two evenings.  I never tried plugging the hard drive into the X5 directly without a computer.  They have the X5 2nd gen at B&H for $179 and it has 2 SD card slots. I put 2 200 gb cards in it and it runs great with either 16 or 24 bit recordings.
