Line-In patching with FW 410
« on: August 19, 2004, 12:23:31 PM »
Looking for ideas to make the most of the 410 in case some people want a patch from me.

I don't think the 410 can convert just the digital signal (from V3) to analog for patching, right? I can't seem to get it to work, nothing from the headphone jacks either from the 410. But since I can get a descent Line-in from the xlr mic outs from the V3 to a JB3 (for backup) I figure I can run this instead to the Line 1&2 left/right input on the 410 and give out four patches to DAT/MD/JB3 users while my V3 & 410 are feeding my lappie a 24/96 signal via firewire. I don't have enough wires at home right now to test this but does it sound like it should work?

I found out what happens when using a JB3 to recording a 24/96 dig-in feed. It plays back very very slow. LoL. ah what fun
