simple editing software
« on: February 13, 2006, 02:29:19 PM »
Looking for recommendations for a simple and reliable editing software, that will enable me to do no more than to drop track marks, do fade out, splitting and reduce volume of sections of the WAV form (applause). I tried to use CD architect, but haven’t been able to get much help from the help menu. Is there any program that comes with a real instruction manual for dummies, or a program that is simple and intuitive?  - Noam

Hard to beat CDWave for tracking (Noe SBEs, Cue Sheet Support, Multiple Format Support - track that wav & save as flac then save it again as mp3 for your ipod!)

I've recently tried using Audacity for editing (as I was already using it for its overdubbing support) and I found that I still prefer WaveLab. This is largely due to familiarity, I suspect tho so I can't really give a pro/con between the two (aside from cost!)
