I know most people use rechargeable batteries these days for aa's
but i'm wondering if anyone has tried panasonic oxyride batteries and if they have found them to be worth the little extra buck for quite a good bit of increased performance

these would likely work a fair bit better than alkaline batteries in high drain applications, but . . . . so will a good set of nimh batteries. Why not simply invest in nimh (and have a set of these or alkaline available as backups)

i've gotten noticeably longer runtimes when using the Energizer/Duracell Titatinium batteries. i'll usually grab a pack when they are on sale and keep em around - much better than Alkalines. I would imagine that these from panazonic would have similar results.
