Hi all, recently I did catch new cables from thegreatgumbino  to prove if really it's audible for a newbie ears the difference between  cables.

Here the info

Player: DVD-rom NEC ND-3520A
Soundcard: M-Audio Audiophile 2496 rca out
Speakers: M-Audio Bx5a, xlr in

Sample_Eurocable
recorder: iriver 120 (no gain)
Preamp: Mp2 (Gain at 9 o'clock)
cables: Eurocable Extraflex Coper Shield Microphone LK02N6E
mikes: AKG 391

Sample Hi Ho Silver Cable
recorder: iriver 120 (no gain)
Preamp: Mp2 (Gain at 9 o'clock)
cables: 2' Hi Ho Silver Cables & Interconnects by thegreatgumbino
mikes: AKG 391

The methode:
Same config on both samples, same distance from speakers, only change the cables.

My impressions:
I found more difference that I could imagine.  But one thing that  surprise me  was the difference also on the image stereo
Can anybody explain how this is possible? or any link that can explain? Thanks. And of course if anybody would like to comment the differences would be great!

Sample Hi Ho Silver Cable

What I downloaded was a FLAC file. What file type is that?

It's a WAV file compressed with FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec).  To decompress to WAV, try FLAC FrontEnd.

Alternatively, you could get a FLAC plug-in for your PC-playback program, depending on which you use.
