...anyone still work on either of these, no luck with google search?
Neither unit "opens up"
actually considering getting off my ass and doing some transfers, 100's of those little dats sitting around to be transferred, maybe a few would actually get done....

I'd consider looking for an SDT-9000 with the 13.1 firmware over repairing an old D8 or R500. Much faster and more reliable.
