R-4 power question.
« on: May 08, 2009, 09:45:17 AM »
My 12v SLA finally bit the bullet two weeks ago after a year hiatus. I used to be able to get 10 hours out of it and only got 37 minutes that night. I know you can run the r-4 on 9-12V but what about adding a few more volts? I got a free laptop li-on battery from work that has a selectable output of 16V or 19v. Am I going to fry the r-4 plugging it in or do you think it will be alright? The battery is a 4400mAh.
