Title: Lenmar DVDU923 and UA-5?
Post by: aowzone on September 09, 2010, 10:09:32 PM
So, I guess my Lenmar DVDU9 is dead.  It will no longer charge past the first "dot" on the meter.

Has anyone had any experience with the Lenmar DVDU923 (http://www.amazon.com/Lenmar-DVDU923-Universal-Battery-Portable/dp/B0011MZORU)

I can pick one up for $25, new so I'm hoping this will work!  Its 9V and appears to come with many adapters which I can use to match up to the UA-5's AC adapter.

Anyone know if this will work for certain before I jump on it?  I'm not so much concerned about it actually powering the UA-5 (no reason it wouldn't) but more concerned about battery life (2600mA) and the DVDU9 was 4500mA!

Thanks!

Estimating about 4 hours at 2600mAh / 450mA for the UA-5 but any "real world" experience would be great to hear about!

This one is 5400 mA, but it will cost more.

Do some searching & you may find it for less.

I got one on E-Bay a few months ago for $23 shipped, but there don't seem to be any on E-Bay now. The ad I responded to said it was less than 5400 mA (maybe 4500 or even less) but this model is 5400 or so the manual said.
