Posting a mixtape to archive
« on: February 17, 2017, 09:05:00 AM »
Hey All-

I am helping a band with promotion and I've put together a mix tape for them of some of their better performances from various dates.  I am curious if there is a place for this somewhere on archive.org.  I don't know that the LMA would be appropriate since the dates are all over the place.  I saw a podcast section and I know there are other places for hosting audio- whats the best place for this kind of content?  Maybe archive isn't the right place- in that case where would you host this so fans could stream it? Maybe soundcloud?

Thanks!
Jesse

Posting because I've wondered and would like to do the same.
There is so much to be said for the "curated experience" of a good mix tape.

The mix-tape is dead, long live the mix-tape!

I was going to say this...  There is a ton of music (legal and otherwise) put up for DL in the Community section...
