Title: looking for a battery for....

a Sony DCR-TRV 120

Best buy has them for 50 to 90 bucks. batteryspace dont got it

any other ideas I dont want to shuck out that cash to a camcorder that is old and doesnt get used that much

what type of connector connects it to the camera? if you can hack.buy a connecter then buy a 7.2v rc pack with high mah capacity

That would be impossible I think. Kind of like hacking your cell phone with a rc pack ;)

check out battey warehouse.  I did a search to get a link and there are a ton of battery folks out there...give it a search. The BWH I went to was in Nevada.  I was on vacation and need a cam corder batt...got one that fit and had more AH than the OEM..
