Title: running a V2 with AC power question
Post by: RobC on July 15, 2009, 01:42:54 PM
anyone have a wall wart for their V2?
Im wondering if I can make one up for myself,  but I don't want to fry my V2

what would be a good wall wart to get and attatch a 4 pin XLR to so i can run my V2 from AC power?

thanks in advance for any help

I'm guessing any wallwart that provides sufficient voltage and current should work fine.  The V2 draws ~500 mA, so get a wallwart with a higher current rating, say 1-2 A.  For voltage, this PDF from the Grace website on powering the V2 from AC (http://www.gracedesign.com/support/v2_ac_operation.pdf) suggests you need to run the V2 in 12v mode using a 12-15v wallwart.

thanks for the info

I think I will look around for a 12v wall wart and hack the end and put on a 4 pin xlr
