Indeed it was a joke, folks.  Attempt at some infusion of humor.

But alas, there is truth in every joke.

center panned mix?  tracks are panned hard left and right, actually...

JBT tape is DFC, 4011's ORTF if you want to evaluate imaging capability.  others are stack, but nothing is panned to the center.

sounds nice, does have that 'centered' image that moke was talking about

4015's are subs or omnis ???

also, has really nice drums/instrument pickup but daves voice sounds distant

overall, sounds pretty good for RR, could be better, could be worse, RR is also prolly the hardest place to tape tho, so good job!

hey, no worries, moke.  didn't take offense.  if i had my way, i'd mic up the stage!

alas, big acts seem to limit privileges to PA recording :)

sweet, id love to hear a sample of the ortf sometime, thats why moke and i thought the sound was centered, cause A/B has a more mono sound :)

i bet that setup owns at ORTF/DIN ;D YMMV tho!

and the extent to which A-B has a more 'mono' sound is obviously a function of how directional one's microphones are; subcards are less affected, IMO.  i don't like a diffuse sound, often favoring the clarity offered by this config.
