AKG C480b with a V3
« on: April 21, 2003, 08:43:48 PM »
Anyone have any tapes of this combination?  I'm looking to upgrade, hopefully this summer, and right now I'm seriously considering the 480s with a V3...  I've got some 480 tapes that I love but I don't have any paired with a V3, so if anyone has anything I can download I'd appreciate it.  ;D

Thanks

Eric Naylor is running 480 > v3 > da-p1

I believe

I know for summer dmb he was running a V2, not sure if he has any shows floating around with the V3 though

Actually I only ran the 480's with the 148>V3 once so far, I really like the results but only got to roll tape for 30 minutes or so before I had to pack it in (long story, harpers sucks) We also ran 483>V3 in Nola last year, the tapes are also really nice. I'm leaving for Mexico in a few hours otherwise I'd see if I can find those tapes. I'd say go for it, I'm sure you'll love your recordings.

I know you like, tape for people's approval and stuff, and wave your tapes around like they're your dick...  but even you can't actually think section tapes from philips sound good.
