Onkyo HT-S990THX
« on: January 15, 2007, 08:52:45 AM »
Hello All,

I am building a TV Room in my basement, and want a surround sound to go with it.  Has any one had any experience w/ the HT-S990THX home theatre in a box?  I am sure this is far away from the high end gear many people here have, but I am thinking it is a good bang for the buck.  More info here:

Thoughts?  Thanks!

Looks like a capable system.  Hard to tell without being able to see the inputs/outputs on the receiver, though.  Do you know which model receiver it comes with?

I had an older 6.1 onkyo home theater in a box setup before I moved.  I thought it did a great job and sounded quite good considering the price.

I ended up selling the system for $200 to my old roommates when I moved, because it was taking up too much room in my trunk and I couldn't fit the rest of my belongings.  haha.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.
