Topic: EMI 2/6 win XP driver

I have been using the EMI 2/6 to do transfers. The first few times I used it I had no problem using wavelab 4 and the ASIO drivers. But recently I tried to transfer a show I just taped and I kept on getting digi noise throghout the recording. I switched between ASIO and MME drivers, but nothing worked. So then I tried the microsoft wave mapper option in wavelab and the recording seems to come out clean. Is there anything wrong with using this option? Thanks
