Adive Needed desprately
« on: July 04, 2007, 10:33:04 AM »
Hi
I am new to recording audio and new whatever information possible.

Anyway i have filmed a live music event and i used a Gemini Ikey using a direct feed of the matrix in stereo, i know not great at all.

After listening to the recording i noticed the vocals are much higher then the rest of the instruments adn was wondering if there is anything i can do to decrease them or increase the instruments.

And also what would you advise on getting to record audio in the future?

Thanks

Try to use a compressor and compress the audio there are many good programs for audio editing.. out there I use cool edit pro and Sound Forge.

I am pretty sure there is a compressor plug-in. You should be fine.. just remember less is more.. Use the least amount of Compression you can.
