Hi folks.
I just got a great deal on a Mini-Me, and I was wondering how people are powering them these days. I've spent (wasted?) a good amount of time searching the forums and while there is a lot of wonderful info, much of the info is now somewhat dated, due to the apparent scarcity of the once ubiquitous "Wallyworld" batteries. For instance this thread:
http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=127961.0 appears to have folks using the DVD batteries with cables from Ed @ Kind Kables, options which no longer (to my knowledge) exist.
I'll likely be using a Tascam DR 100 mkii as a "bit bucket," so the Tekkeon, which has a 5v USB output seems like an added benefit, but the batteries seem somewhat expensive for what they are and do. (~$200 for a battery sounds like a lot.)
The DVD batteries seem like a good deal if they can be found (I seem to see these on ebay, but I'm scared), also will they give enough run time?
The 7.2v RC batteries also seem like a good deal, but are they reliable?
Thanks everyone in advance.
