Remote power for Sony Mini Disc?
« on: February 13, 2008, 12:46:00 AM »
So I will be going to Coachella again this year and am looking for a remote power option for my Sony MD so I dont have to go through a million batteries.
I'm a bit of a DIY person. Check out the light set up I concocted to help me check the time/battery life while taping...

Any ideas on possible solutions to a remote batter is appreciated thanks!

I use the Macaly IP-481.  It gives the power to burn something like 20 MD's.  Check on minidisc.com for much more info.  I always use the Macalay when recording on the minidisc.  It makes me feel secure.  It can be charged off the RH1 charger, or any minidisc charger with a small USB connection on it.  PM me with any questions.

hmmmm. not sure if time shave changed, but I remember when I had my MD deck, that a 2 pack of Lithium AA's would get me through a weekend of recording, maybe even more. is this deck new? Do the new ones draw more power.

just my .02. Maybe I have no idea ;D ;D ;D
