Rig up-grade question
«

The rig l'm using right now is AKG c1000s > Sony D-7 or M-1. l'm happy with the results, but l've been thinking about up-grading w/o breaking the bank. l've been thinking about the Denecke AD-20 or maybe a pre-amp. Any help would be great.

a DIY UA5 would also be something to consider.

When budget is less of a concern I highly recommend a Busman mod on that UA5. I don't get tired of my recordings anymore.
