I'd pass.
6000mah at iphone voltage is I think 3.7V. Thats about 22 watt hours. Even if it's 5V, that's a 30 watt hour battery. For $10 more, I'd get a naztech pb15000 that's 55.5watt hours plus gives you selectable voltage so you can use it for any of your other gear too. Since the Naztech battery has a USB port on top of it, you can use your regular phone cable to charge your phone, ipad, or ipod.

EDIT: I double checked after hitting send and the iphone chargers supply 5V.

I was mostly curious if anyone looked at these as a possible power option for smaller recorders. Seems like a great phone gadget though...

As long as it has a USB jack on it and you're not limited to the iphone jack in the picture, I don't know why not, as long as your recorder runs off 5V. I have two of these energizer 8000 energi to go batteries that are essentially the same thing. My two batteries are a little bigger than a deck of cards. I use them to power my Tascam DR100MKii and sometimes to recharge my phone. I've even used them to light a small USB powered light that I keep in my bag to light it up all night during a show.

Anyway, the nearest I've been able to figure, my Tascam pulls around 400ma at 5v, so those energizer 8000's will power it for 20 hours, which sounds about right since I've used one of these batteries all day at a festival without it running down. That MyCharge6000 would go for maybe 15 or so on my Tascam.
The only thing you'd want to make sure is that you have a cable that has a USB on one end and the appropriate jack for your recorder on the other. I have so many cables laying around that I hacked two separate cables with the proper connectors together and used my multimeter to make sure I got the polarity right. If you aren't as confident in your soldering skills, Ted makes them.

I've owned a My Charge 6000 for several years now with great results.
Besides the Apple interface shown, it has another built-in short (1.5 in) cable on the other side (not shown in the picture on the link) with a connector that has a mini USB on one side and a micro USB on the other. It also has a regular USB port on the top that you can use with your own USB cable to power your small recorders with. I've used both methods with great results to power my Tascam DR-2d and DR-1. It ran a DR-2d for at least 8 hours. I put the battery+DR2d+CA-Ugly2 in my jeans pocket (yeah, a sizable bulge but what the hey) and just ran all evening at a festival without stopping between acts, good for very low pro.
I also use it to recharge my Android phone. I can get about 2 good charges before it is depleated. When recharging my phone, the phone occasionally stops at 60% full (phone message says phone is overheating) but I believe that's the phone's fault, not the My Charge 6000's fault (not 100% sure though).
I agree with the previous poster though, that a larger capacity power source for the same or just a little more might be the better way to go. The size of the MyCharge 600 is about the size of the DR2D, so nice and small. Not sure how big the larger capacity unit is. I'd probably stay away from the Tekkeon 3450 based on others' experiences!
