battery or walwart?
« on: May 21, 2005, 02:50:01 PM »
I have the option of plugging into an outlet for my ua-5, fw-410, and laptop at a show tonight. Is there the possibility of noise being introduced by plugging in? I will have to use a power strip too, since I have three units that require power.
Line Audio CM4 / AT853Rx (c,h) / Studio Projects C4 MKII (c,h,o)
Sound Devices MP-2 / bm2p+ Edirol UA-5
Zoom F3 / F6 / Marantz Oade Warm Mod PMD661 / Tascam DR-70D

No more than a battery, I would think. Whenever I have the option to go plug in power, I do. Saves life on my batteries. Either way, I always use a power strip, and keep the walwarts as far away from my UA5 and DAT as possible. Call it paranoia, but I've never had any problems.
