:o Strange Power range. What can we use this for.

I think I'll buy two if not just to power my AD20 and PS/2 for festivals. Put my Tekkeon on the iRiver and I'll be able to fill that 40 gig HD and never get near a 120v AC outlet.

Maximum Capacity 52Wh
Output Voltage 15V~24V
Output Power Max 72W
Operating Time Up to 4 hours, depending on laptop and, settings
Charging Time 3~8hours
Dimensions 165 x 80 x 24 mm
Weight  430gr

Manual

How is the voltage selected?

Coffee has kicked in there are a couple of issues.

Charging.
Not supplied with a Walwart to charge. You must use your existing compatible Laptop walwart/power supply and select a compatible input tip to charge your battery.

Output.
iTips are selected to set output Voltage. No button to choose voltage like on a Tekkeon.

Still lots of power compact and cheap

my lap top uses 19v.  these would work well with the sonsax and beyer mv-100.  also, Nicky, shoepsnbox, is making away to power the nbox with external batteries, this may fit the bill!!??  if u r a nbox user, i would send him this link.       ed

At 15 volts that makes this a 3466 mAh battery and at 24 volts it's only 2166 mAh.  Not very big capacity.

Good for laptops, but those supplies have regulators that sometimes generate noise, making them unsuitable for the nbox.  I don't know about the sonosax, but I'd guess it also might have issues.  Otherwise they probably would have put a regulator in it to boost the input to the optimal 24v voltage.  I'm not aware anyone has tested the sonosax in that regard, but they should.

Keep in mind that excess voltage is turned into heat by the regulator circuit.  So sending 15v into a 12 v (or less) device isn't optimal.

The picture that I've found of this thing makes it look like the output connector could be the same as what my tekkeon uses.  If that is true, then this would at least be a cheap way to have spare laptop connectors for tekkeon packages.  Hynocracy, you own both, is that cable interchangeable?

The Tekkeons in my possession are 2 mp3300's and a mp3450. I guess I'm a power slut running a mp3300 for the V2 (second unit as backup) and start off with the mp3450 powering the Fostex FR2LE with the internal RC batt's as fail over. Do you run the mp3750?

On the Battery side of the cable, iRecharge has 4 connectors to the Tekkeons 3 connectors. The iRecharge cable terminates in a flat multiple connector that clips into the side of most of the iTips....weird. Cables/Tips are not compatible with my existing Tekkeon cables or iTips.

The iRecharge appears to be the big brother of my iGo Car cellphone/iPod charger, there are electronics in each tip that make the voltage compatible with the unit being powered. Unlike selecting voltage output on the Tekkeon.

These iRecharge units run my old Toshiba Satellite M35-S320 for only one hour. Now that sounds kinda weak but I plan on pursuing powering the Denecke units (15v is fine for these two) for a festival type rig. I envision a project box that has two female inputs for the 15v tips and on the other side have the 3.5mm jacks for the jumpers to the Denecke's.

so it's based on which tip you use what voltage you get? This looked like a nice cheap way to get 24v for the sax when compared to other regulated sources like the tekkeon until I read that...  :-\
