micsupply has this warnin' when you buy a Manfrotto stand!
Note: Bogen/Manfrotto has changed the fitting at the top of their stands from 1/4-20 threads to a brass post. All stands shipping as of October 22, 2003 now require a new fitting for ANY mic mount. The old 1/4-20>5/8 adapter will no longer work with the new stands. You now need a new stand fitting combined with a 3/8>5/8 adapter
I was wonderin' if I could get my adapter for cheaper at home depot otr elsewhere then buy a adapter from them for $15?
