This may be my wife's early Christmas gift. 

I do wish the zoom range were a little greater, but I've read that this is a pretty good low light performer for concert photography (although the G10 is said to be better).  Regardless, the images I've seen made with the GXX series cameras are pretty amazing for basically a P&S.

g10's are not good in low light.  g11's are much better but not perfect.  I love mine for what it is.  I didn't buy it for shows but it's been pretty good imo.  these are all 1600 ISO with noise reduction.

Thanks for the image examples Gordon and the clarification.  One of the things I like about these camera's is that they aren't disqualified from most venue's criteria as 'pro style' cameras since most venue's look at the lens/body combination of a digital SLR to DQ a camera.
