Battery-powered condenser mic question
« on: February 05, 2018, 09:29:21 AM »
I've had a pair of Shure BG4.1 condenser mics for some time now, and I've always taken the batteries out of them after shows. They have an on/off switch on them, so do I really need to take the batteries out? Long term I still would, just because of the possibility of leaking, but do I need to short term?

No, "short term" you don't need to remove them--but the habit that you've developed is a good one anyway. As long as you maintain it, you'll never have batteries that leak inside the microphone. So you might give some thought to that.
