128 Gb is really huge, plus only running 2 channels... I'd feel safer using 3 or 4 of these

besides I don't really think you need a card that fast to record 2 channels of audio

two tracks at 192k 24bit and this size card would approximately be 33 hours of recording time.

There was a time when 1 GB was HUGE. Who would need that much memory!?

seems like way more memory on one card than anyone would need.  plus, the price is ridiculous.  i could think of much better ways to spend $1,199.

I remember when an 8GB CF card was that price.   ;D

I took 32GB of photos in 2 days a few weeks ago. If I was on a week long trip I could have taken 128GB of pics...but I'd much rather have 8 16GB cards. Much cheaper and I wouldn't have all my eggs in one basket.

Probably handy for HD video though.

I'm not surprised a 32 gig card got filled up in two days considering cameras these days shoot anywhere from 1-60MP. What's the average size of an image on the card? Did you shoot any raw?

How many of the 32 gig images are you going to actually KEEP?

I posted a question about this and everyone said that sd/sdhc/micro sd  and cf were along the same lines of price.
Why is this 32 gb cf card $300+  and you can get sd/sdhc/micro sd for like peanuts.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/646876-REG/SanDisk_SDCFXP_032G_A91_32GB_Extreme_Pro_CompactFlash.html

EDIT: Must be the speed???
However this 32gb cf is $161 and there's nothing special about it.

On the other hand, there is this:

I own the the lowest priced 32gig CF listed by newegg and I have never had a problem recording 8 channels at a time with it.  I've used even slower cards without a problem.  These CF cards are about the same price as the lowest priced SD cards.

UDMA 7 means that it will work great as a boot device. It's probably aimed at wedding & sports photographers for now, since they are the only ones who really need that much speed & capacity.

There's also the solid-state video recorder market that could benefit from increased capacity.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/600482-REG/Convergent_Design_CD_NF_001_nanoFlash_HD_SD_Recorder_Player_with.html

A bit expensive for those 128's right now, but the price is only gonna fall.
