Title: Audio tracks from 5.1 mts file
Post by: mysticeyes on January 15, 2015, 07:56:14 PM
I don't know if I should post this here or in the post processing area, but I'll just take a shot. The question is, if I import an mts with 5.1 sound into audacity with the intention of mastering and mixing its soundtrack down to two channels, how do I know which of the six tracks is which, L/R, F/B, center, sub? Well....I can tell which one is the sub's, but I want to be sure about the other ones.  I don't have access to surround-sound playback equipment. If it matters, my camera is a Sony NEX-VG30 that comes with a four-mic array from which the six tracks are supposedly derived. Is there a tutorial online where I can read about mts file structure stuff?
