My 9100 and Littlebox might be up for sale pretty soon.

We should meet up sometime ... it's been a while.  I've been looking for an opportunity to return your 9100 to you for months.
Stepeanut: "Unless something else turns up, I'd say you've made the pull of the tour."

Yousef: "That's kind of you to say, but it does feel like winning first prize in a turd-photographing contest."

I'm looking for a couple battery boxes for my recently purchased CA14's. Was about to start a new thread and thought maybe this one would help me and the OP, and anyone else in the UK out.

With the wait time on CA battery boxes, I was looking for something quicker. Came across this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270620193225

What do you think? Would this work OK? Not much info there, but says it's good for 1.5 ~ 9V mics. Seller didn't offer much enlightenment.

Thanks

To be honest, for £14 I'd consider it worth checking out. Can't imagine a pre that cheap would be particularly sturdy, but if it gets the job done then happy days.

I had a look as it would also be good for me to find a BB in the UK rather than having them shipped in from the US.  But this says it takes a single AA battery at 1.5V (which seems to make sense based on the quoted size of the unit).  So as far as I understand it this wouldn't be enough to adequately supply the mics, so better off waiting and getting a 9V one I would have thought.  Microphone Madness in the US are normally superfast at delivering to the UK and Chris Church's last order only took 4 weeks to arrive, so personally I think you'd be better off going without the BB for a few weeks (i.e. using your recorder's plug in power) and sourcing one from the US that does the job that you want it to.
