USB cassette deck recommendations?
« on: March 18, 2015, 04:04:49 PM »
What all do you all use for digitizing cassettes? I have a bunch of tapes to transfer, and would like to get a USB deck that will do a decent job with them without dropping more than $200-300, if possible.

most go for a "normal" deck and then use an external A/D like their taping rig or in to a pc

A good working cassette deck is getting harder and harder to find.

Yep. I'm about to do some of this (both cassettes and minidiscs). Nothing is that important to me. I just want to get rid of that extra crap, so I'm just using an old cassette deck I have lying around into my M10.

Okay, thanks, that makes things easier. Now I just need to figure out why my old cassette deck is suddenly refusing to work, and I'll be good to go.
