Edirol AC adapter wiring
« on: November 04, 2015, 04:11:36 PM »
I'm in the process of converting my Edirol UA-5 to battery power, however I have a slight problem. I have a Japanese adapter Model ACI-100C and it has wiring of a type I have never seen. Its a Yellow wire with a bare copper wire wrapped around it, any ideas as to what this is?

Can't comment on the wiring but remember that the center post is negative and outer ring is positive on the UA-5. Opposite of what most AC adapters do.

I've messed up on upgrading the capacitors, I ordered  silmic II 25v instead of 6.3v. Will this be a problem? its where bypass capacitors are fitted.

(- replace two 22uF aluminum caps near ADC with higher quality electrolytic bypassed with 0.1uF poly or film cap)
