Help the newbie get the right cords and adapters!!!
« on: September 28, 2005, 08:08:04 PM »
Here is what I have (my first decent taping gear!):

M Audio MicroTrack 24/96 (ordered it, but I don't have it yet)
(2) Audix 1290 mics w/ miniXLR(f)>XLR(m)
Shure a27m stereo mic mount (ordered last night)
(3) 4 Gig Hitachi Compact Flash cards/microdrives
Sound Professionals XLR(f)>1/4 TRS Adapter

Other than the USB cord, is that all that I need to get going with the recordings?  I understand I still need a mic stand, but I mean as far as cables and such go?
What if I wanted to patch into a soundboards, what cords should I have, or what adapters should I have on hand?  Should I buy them online or at a pro sound store, or can I pick them up at Radioshack?

Thanks for reading, I just want to be prepared when the M Audio arrives.
