Premiere Pro 7 help
« on: March 12, 2010, 02:53:05 PM »
I just started using Premiere Pro 7 today. I have some mp4 and avi videos that I want to work with, but the mp4's aren't even recognized, and when I try to import the avi's, it says the format isn't supported. I assume there's a missing codec. How does one get these to work? I'm fairly noobish. I've used Windows Movie Maker a lot, but this is my first jump into something professional. Anyone willing to help?

Thanks.

I had this issue with some mp4 and avchd mts files. I found a post online that said a reinstall of Premiere would fix the issue...and it did. Odd.

Didn't do anything for me. I read on Adobe's support boards thats changing the file extensions to .mpg works. It did. Odd.
