Recording a theatrical play
« on: March 07, 2009, 05:56:23 AM »
Hi everybody,

We are going to videotape a play in a theatre in Athens-Greece, a mid-size theatre about 300 people, 8 actors, 4 cameras and asked me to record it. My previous experience is only in location rec in films, docs etc.
Is there any special techniques to record a stage in a theatre. Wired or wireless systems? Multitrack recording or mixing output? Mono or stereo mics and which of them? Do u think i 'll have sync problems so will need Time Code machine?
Is there any books or web links to refer to collect some infos?

Any thoughts?
Thanx
