Yep, very light and very small. I have a an MPS 6020 (RCA instead of mini-plug). Remove the belt clip and it'll be even more stealthy.

For reference, here's a pic of the 6020 relative to the M1 from an old Moke thread:

Naiant IPA (tinybox format) >

hi,

@ brian ..

i want to use nearer the same rig (dpa 4061 > mps 6030 > D100 (line in)

do you use 2 hosa transformers is this a modded one  (2  xlr -> mini plug) ?

i know only the 176 (?) with 1 xlr -> mini plug

are there transformers from mini plug -> mini plug - so, that i can run the mps 6030 direct into "line in" D100 ?

regards and sorry for my english ...  ;)

that thing is really cool...

Is it really that expensive? I was thinking about upgrading at some point...

Out of curiosity, I've been looking at the new DPA power supplies. Seems like the MPS6010 might be the more versatile option. With the XLR version, it would be easy to connect line transformers for extra gain. Also, couldn't in-line attenuators, like the Shure A15AS, help tame a too hot signal, like a loud rock show into 4060s? Just thinking out loud, so if I'm off base here, help me out.  Thanks.

The Shure A15AS's are pretty big...
Tickets are dead to me.  Except the ones I have, don't have, and lost.  Not to mention the ones you have, don't have, and lost.   And the ones that other dude has, doesn't have, and lost.  Let me know if you need some tickets, I'm happy to oblige.

Yeah, I've got a pair.  Guess I'm more interested in versatility than stealth.

here is another option for the 406x mics: the dpa mma6000 mic power supply / preamp. It is the sames size as a Sony PCM-M1 dat (the dat deck in the picture that Brian posted).

is this a 48/phantom power?

also what mic in's does it have? from this picture it does not show any mic/xlr inputs.

Thanks a lot.

DPA has a web-site.
Maybe a couple of small scratches, but thats because these mics are chick magnets.
Girls always up on Andy tryin to grab these mics, the scratches are from their wedding rings.
