SD MP-2 > R-44
« on: June 22, 2013, 04:07:09 PM »
Would like to run via XLR to a R-44. Any experiences or advice? I see lots of people use the tape-out for the smaller bit-buckets in order to combat overloading, but wondering if the R-44 is going to have any issues with a hot signal from the MP-2.
Thx

No issues at all-  just keep the outer knob of the input gains all the way down and the inner knob about 12 o'clock and adjust the gain
with the mp-2.

My experiences with both the R-44 and MP-2.....they can be used together via xlr just fine.  I found the MP-2 in any kind of violume situation I ran it with gains turned all the way down and it had plenty of signal.  Would depend on how hot your mics run too.
