SP SPSB-8 discontinued?
« on: December 06, 2013, 02:54:52 PM »
I was looking at Soundprofessionals webpage yesterday and couldnĀ“t find the SP SPSB-8 batterybox there, is it discontinued?

I need a small batterybox similar to that (i.e. same size and powered by a 9v battery).
What should I go for instead?

Thanks
Nice

I'd recommend one like the Church battery box instead. Smaller & cheaper. No need for a bass roll off-do that in post. The SP models with a bass roll off are problematic anyway. You don't usually get the roll off that SP says you will get. It depends on the impedance of your recorder's input.
AT853's (all caps)/CM-300 Franken Naks (CP-1,2,3)/JBMod Nak 700's (CP-701,702) > Tascam DR-680
Or Sonic Studios DSM-6 > M10
