Suggestions for very compact telescoping extension pole

I have one of those poles. It fits in my backpack nicely. It is great for clamping to a seat but is only good for just over head height. A trick I've used to make it longer and still compact is a couple of sections of Swiffer handle painted black. If you take the plastic retainer out and flip the section so the tapered part is facing down it slides tightly over the 5/8 stud portion and secures well with some gaff tape. I usually carry 3 sections which gets plenty high enough added to the pole. The older Swiffers had longer sections.

If you only need a light weight pole
I've got one of these...
it's not super short  (compact- it's like 21") but   it's works well with a seat clamp for active capsule rig.

for about 2x as much you can get thisone that colapses to about 19"  or 3" shorter and goes to 5'
