Suggestions...Since I can't afford to purchase an active setup for my akg caps, I'm considering having an SRS mount made for my akg 480's with the ck63 caps. I really like the streamlined look, lightweight and fixed design of the SRS mounts. I also typically configure in PAS with my akg 483's. So, I understand it will vary based on venue and location from stacks, but I assume a general PAS for most of my recording is somewhere between 70-85 degrees. What fixed angle would you suggest, and other general parameters would be a catch-all recommendation as I request a custom order? Here is an example of a NOS NT55 SRS mount. I'm going for same design, just with a PAS on the akg 483 mics. I also may prefer the mics being slightly more centered in the clips.
As I think more about it, I guess I'm asking what angle and distance between caps you suggest? Why?
