Topic: Does this sound right?

I'm out taping mc012>ua-5>RCA>M1/USB>G4 Spark 2.8.2 and my signle drop after about one and 15-20 mins. I got nut for 3 mins trying to figure out what it is and then I throw a new batter on the ua-5 and my single is back. I've never had to stwich them that early. So my think is thta is was b/c of the usb cable. I've never taped with that, so my quistion finally is that does the usb drain the battery quicker? Any help would be great!
