i got it set up, got one fade in place.  But can't create another fade.

The one angle starts then fades into the 2nd, but then i can't get it to go back to the first.  any suggestions.

Is there any manuals or informative websites that i can read up on this.  I searched a few forums and didn't have any luck.

any tips, suggestions, or instructions would be very helpful, thanks!!

You should have a manual with the software that explains composite levels. The forums at DVInfo.Net are excellent (just use the search feature). The help file with Vegas 5 also explains it a bit.

Basically, you just need to keep adding points to the composite line. Then you manipulate the points on the line to do your fades.
