I will be taping Springsteen at the baseball stadium here later in the month.
My seat is 2nd row center in Sec. C5

Would cards XY do the trick? I can probably borrow hypers for my Oktavas (also asking 'hippies' if I can borrow his 140/50s.) if I have to.
What would you do?
-
run cards, the hypers will pick up rear sound and when you are stealthing with the mics on the head (which is where I am assuming you will be running them), you will want as little rear noise as possible.

wouldnt cards pick up more rear sound, this is always what i thiught???more rear axis rejection would be hypers.....

In general, cards will reject more rear sound, hypers will reject more side sounds with a node of pickup in the rear.

+T brian, i still learn something new here everyday...... 8) ;)that exlains everything

and when you are stealthing, that little pickup in the back part of the pattern can pick up shit you really dont want to hear...
-
Can someone explain the graph to me? I understand the degrees around the outside, but what does each smaller ring inside the main represent? Frequency?
-Kevin
-
freq and degree of pickup its receiving....or directivity
-
The closer to the outer edge the more range of frequency?

Still wanting to understand what the rings represent.
