Title: Differences between the Sony TCD-D7 and TCD-D8
Post by: Kindguy on December 02, 2003, 07:29:24 PM
The Primary Differences between the TCD-D7 and TCD-D8
-----------------------------------------------------

Over the TCD-D7, the TCD-D8 adds
  - gold plated jacks
  - 44.1k sampling
  - 'instant sleep' (tape unload)
  - record mute
  - a supplied cleaning tape and AC adapter

Mail order prices for the TCD-D8 are about $595-$600.

Great resource!  There's loads more info on that site, as referenced in this Archival Info thread (http://www.taperssection.com/index.php?board=14;action=display;threadid=5032).

I personally like the red record button on the D7 over the dark colored button on the D8.
