Title: DSD playback....anyone try one of these?
Post by: Nick's Picks on April 10, 2016, 09:55:38 AM
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B015W5XQTY/ref=dra_a_rv_fb_hn_xx_P1400_1000?tag=dradisplay-20&ascsubtag=4cd82a4e917d80135f15f2cf23ba6980_S

There are tons of small DSD capable hand-held players these days.  Some are expensive, others are not.
I found this....(link above) and wondered if anyone has tried one out?
I'm going to buy one this month and give it a go as my "car deck".

I wonder about the ability to play DSD files from a micro SD card.  Haven't tried that.

Don't know much about that specific product but the FIIO players X3gen2,X5gen2, and X7 all do DSD at a reasonable price.  As for the media.. media is media...  there is no difference between 128 gig cards...micro verses SD...except the physical size of the card itself. I am not talking capacity.

However the difference comes in when it comes to read and write speeds of the card.  Anything Class 10 you should be absolutely fine..

so I've learned...thank you.

at this point, i'm looking at the chipsets and trying to decide on which might sound better based on the DAC chip.
