Title: Good Blank CD's?

I like to copy may concerts from my SD card to CD for playing on my stereo or car.  Maybe I purchased a bad batch but when I play back a copied CD it sounds like the CD is warped.  Any suggestions on what is a GOOD cd to purchase form music?

My favorite are Taiyo Yuden, but they recently were bought by CMC.  Hopefully the quality is still the same, as it looks like they are still manufactured by TY.

I have also had perfect results with these black ones (on writing surface).  I a long time ago there were articles written about how the black surface caused less diffraction, which is probably BS.  All I know is that they work great.

Thanks Voltronic! you just saved me .30 per disk from what I was paying. not counting when they don't burn... :angry2:

Sadly, after using Taiyo Yudens for many years and getting excellent low error counts with Plextools, I just got 2 cake boxes of CMC "value - powered by TY technology" or some such from Supermedia store, now made in Taiwan.

These are crap. The error rate is now consistently much higher than before, worse than Maxells bought at Office Depot. I'm bummed.

I suggest buying a new car stereo...

When our factory honda unit CD player crapped out, we got a JVC unit with a AUX 1/8" input.  I now run whatever I'm listening to though that into the car stereo.  Works great...

That's really disappointing.  TY used to be the standard bearer for quality and consistency.
