Mid way last aug2016 I noticed the FR2LE is now an 'archive product'.

I just bought (another) used FR-2LE.  Hopefully this means a new product or mk2 will be announced.

Great sounding recorder. Modding it's sound was never really needed, imo.  I have one that's mint, and another for parts. I hope a new one comes out with the exact same preamps, but in a case that's half the size.

Hopefully a new device will come, more channels (like 4) and better AD would be nice.
Wonder if they can keep up with Zoom ...
