Post by: T.aurus on January 25, 2017, 01:42:06 PM
Hello!
Could someone please help me with a step by step description of a 4.7k mod for 2-wired microphones?
Thanks very much in advance for your help.
Cheers

There is no such animal.  The modification adapts 3-wire mics (with separate signal and mic powering supply lines) to 2-wire (combined signal and power line).. and reduces sensitivity while raising max SPL handling capability.

You can use an appropriate attenuator to reduce the level of the signal to the devices which follow, but that will not increase the max SPL handling capability of the microphone in the same way.
