Got it!

"Copy to" or "cut to" > new layer

When I selected one of the board channels, and did this, new layer was a single mono channel.

Exactly what I needed! Not sure what I am going to do of I get an actual stereo board feed, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it...

Not the most encouraging news from customer service...

Apologies for the delay. We've only done some very cursory testing in Yosemite and Wave Editor appears to function normally. That said, anything that comes up will not be addressed as it is now legacy software.

Very late response, but wave editor works just fine on my RetinaBook Pro running Yosemite.

Thanks for the info. I have one more transfer that needs to be done soon, and then I think I will upgrade to Yosemite and see what happens. All the best...

So has anyone had any success using Triumph efficiently? I also had the same issues as a few folks had mentioned trying to do simple processes. I love using Wave Editor and would like to upgrade to Triumph if it worked as well as the original program.

I was a beta tester for the original Triumph and couldn't figure out how to do simple tasks like splitting tracks, so I still use Wave Editor

I've stuck with Snow Leopard for various reasons and certain programs.

I was a beta tester for the original Triumph and couldn't figure out how to do simple tasks like splitting tracks, so I still use Wave Editor

Splitting tracks is fairly straightforward.  Set markers > render markers to wave > save renders.  What through me for a loops was how they put SRC and dither in two different areas and made some of the render actions fairly opaque in what they were doing.  However, the absolutely newest, just came out today version of Triumph has cleaned that up and put them both in the render dialog so it might be better now.  They also brought the look into line with the Yosemite aesthetic.  I still think it's a disk hog however, and it does suck you have to basically learn their scripting language to make it do what you want to.

edit:  oh, and if you don't already own Triumph, you now have to buy the izotope src and dithering separately.

Thx for the info.

How much does the whole package cost now, including the app and isotope src and dither..?

looks like 79.99 for Triumph and 99.99 for iZotope.

And if you are using triumph, try this script to split/dither/src a file.  I literally bashed this together using some of the premade scripts and the create render action, so it's probably highly inefficient.  If you fiddle with it a bit more you can also make it export the renders for you, but I didn't want to try and make the action do too much.

And one more "top tip" i just learned.  Clear out your renders, otherwise you get 16 and 24 bit versions of your shit all mixed up. :/

That script is ridiculous! How would you utilize plugins and change gain..? I doubt I could ever get that to work...

Re: price
So is it $99 total for the izotope version, or is it $79 + $99 for the fully loaded triumph..?

The Workflow of Triumph as I understand it.
1. Create a new project
2. Import audio to workspace (the audio is now a layer in your workspace)
3. Apply plugins/fades/etc (drag and drop onto your layer)
4. Place markers (or tracks, or whatever you like)
5. Flatten (there's a setting hidden somewhere that sets the bit depth/sample rate of flattened layers, if you're working with 24 bit it's important to fiddle with this because the default is 16/44.1)
6. Render the workspace/export (this is where you run the script.  With some tinkering you can make that script output FLAC.)

What I haven't figured out is how to append something more descriptive to the outputs files than "Marker 1"

79 + 99 if you want triumph and iZotope.  The new included src/dither is something called GoodHertz.

I did the conversion of the last show I taped in Triumph, and it didn't go too badly.  I still think Wave Editor is the better program, but going forward I think I can make Triumph work.  Which is good, because sooner or later Wave Editor is going to break.
