What power supply are you running with your Mini-me?
« on: September 30, 2014, 12:17:59 PM »
Recently scored a super minty Mini-me and was told to run it with a 12 volt battery?  In reading I found it'll handle 6-12 volts. Are there different models set up for different power required?

Apogee had 3 major revisions of the Mini-ME:

- A - First batch - required 7.5v-16v Power - Black enclosure with older Apogee Logo printed in Purple and white on top
- B - Second+ Batch - ??? power - Pretty sure this had the black enclosure as well (different gain structure to Rev A when Pre Amp disabled)
- C - Most common - 6-16v Power - Silver Enclosure (it's possible that there are some black ones as well) - Reverted gain structure back to Rev A

I run my rev.C on a pair of 9V DVD batteries, that kirkd kindly re-celled for me.

I just got mine (silver case), so have only run it a few times, but have been using one of the old Tekkeon MP3300 that were posted a while ago.  Running on the 9v setting.

Seems to be selling them in lots of 8 now instead of individually.  They seem to be a little hit or miss, but the price is certainly right.

Original thread about them:  http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=166745.0

New ebay listing from different seller but shipping out of the same town.  hmmm:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-LOT-My-Power-Tekkeon-MP3300-Mobile-Charger-DVD-Camera-Digital-Cell-Phone-Media-/271622672420?pt=Battery_Chargers&hash=item3f3df91024

This is the black one.

If no voltage range is printed above the power connector then I would assume 7.5v is min voltage
