Sound card for 32 kHz DAT transfers
« on: May 16, 2015, 08:06:08 PM »
Hey All,

A buddy is trying to digitally transfer a bunch of 32 kHz DAT masters to his desktop computer. His current sound card is an E-MU 1212M that does not support 32 kHz. I have successfully used my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 for several 32 kHz transfers but it is pretty old technology and no longer available.

So, does anyone have a recommendation for a sound card or external USB device that will do bit perfect 32 kHz DAT digital transfers?

Thanks!
Brothers

Thanks Terry, I think it is a pretty large archive of tapes he is transferring. And not sure that he would want to let loose of them for transfers. I'll check with him though. Appreciate the bounce back.

Nomad JB3 will read 32Khz recordings - it always will write as 16bit though (some 32Khz recordings are actually 12bit)
